Lapsang Souchong is famous for its strong smoky flavor, reminiscent of a campfire.  Unlike most other tea, Lapsang Souchong is typically made from large, tough fully mature leaves (souchong).  We picked this guy because the smokiness is strong but doesn't swamp the tea flavor.  It is well-balanced, super smooth, and the malty base is strong enough to stand up to milk and sugar (it's excellent).

 

INGREDIENTS: smoked black tea

JARS: powder coated mason jar measure approximately 3" diameter and 5" tall.

CAFFEINE: High. Black teas typically range from 40-80 mg of caffeine per cup but Lapsang Souchong is on the lower end of that range since it is made from mature leaves which tend to contain less caffeine. For comparison, coffee ranges from 80-120 mg per cup.

We offer discounts for bulk loose-leaf teas:  10% off at 10 pounds and 20% at chest quantities.  A chest of Lapsang Souchong contains 35 pounds of loose leaf tea. We are happy to packaged your tea in smaller bags upon request, but it will not receive a bulk discount.
